Ventilation & dryer vents
Bathroom fans, HRVs, and the long dryer runs that dump moisture and lint where they should not.
Wet-coast houses need intentional exhaust. Bathrooms and kitchens should vent outdoors, not into attics or crawl spaces.
Dryer vents clog with lint. Long, crushed, or flexible foil runs are common failure points. Exterior flaps should open when the dryer runs.
Condos and long vertical chases are often not DIY brush-kit jobs. If you cannot see the path, hire someone who works those systems.
Indoor humidity monitors help you see whether ventilation is actually moving moisture out after showers and laundry.
Educational only — not a contractor inspection or bid. When work is structural, electrical, or involves unknown vent chases, hire a qualified local trade.
